Vetern owned TQV Roofing & Exteriors was founded by partners John and James, who bring years of proven expertise and a genuine commitment to exceptional service.
After running a highly successful gutter business together—earning a 4.8-star rating built on trust and quality workmanship—we saw a critical gap in the roofing and exterior industry. When John had his own roof installed, the experience was eye-opening: poor communication, lack of transparency, and subpar quality led to very little value. That's when we realized property owners deserve better.
We started TQV to be the company we wished existed—one where quality craftsmanship meets honest communication to build value, and where your satisfaction is our main goal.

A University of Montana graduate, John lives in Aurora with his wife Kallie and their son Mikey. When not running projects with audit-level precision, he's living the Colorado lifestyle—golfing, snowmobiling, fishing, and playing hockey. For John, whether it's a financial statement or an exterior project, the standard is the same: flawless execution, complete transparency, total accountability. Family is everything—and that's exactly how he treats every client's property.
James Estes

James’s transition into the building exterior industry was born out of a profound personal turning point. In March 2021, he survived a heart attack and underwent triple bypass surgery. Most would have retreated; James pivoted. Just three months later, in June 2021, he launched a high-standard exterior franchise. Over the next five years, he mastered the complexities of water management and drainage, building a reputation for precision and reliability.
Now, as a licensed General Contractor and Co-Founder of TQV Roofing and Exteriors, James applies an executive-level lens to every project. He doesn’t just manage crews; he manages a “Triple-Check” system of Trust, Quality, and Value. Because of his background in franchise operations and corporate leadership, TQV clients experience a level of professional project management, clear scheduling, and hones communication that is rare in the trades.
A proud father of two, James is rarely seen on a job site without his service dog, Lou C Lou. He believes that surviving a bypass surgery gave him a second chance to do things the right way - with integrity, discipline, and a commitement to protecting the families and businesses in his community.
